There are bars, restaurants, karaoke places and the post office all a short walk away, and I found the town very safe, with welcoming, super-friendly people. I spent a month at Tivoli Guest House and had an experience I won’t forget. The house was clean and peaceful, and I had fresh towels each day and a clean room, thanks to Mitchell. Jane, the manager, was so friendly and always ready to help. Mitchell also helped me out and pointed me towards good places to visit in town. I’d recommend Tivoli to travelers for the value.

I stayed there for 45 days, and the owner did everything to make me comfortable. The place was extremely clean, and it had the best kitchen I’ve ever cooked in. Everyone was professional and friendly, and they made my time in whitehaven better than I expected. It’s right in the heart of the city centre. I’d definitely go back if I’m ever in whitehaven.

The room had tea and coffee making facilities, an en-suite toilet and shower, and a really comfortable bed. Breakfast was lovely and fresh, and they had cold breakfast food for my husband. It’s a great guest house. They’re sadly hoping to retire, but I hope whoever takes over is just as good. We’ll be back.

I’ve been staying at Tivoli for nearly a week now. It’s cold, and there’s only a small radiator in the bedroom. The wall radiator in the shower still isn’t working either. We’ve been told these things will be fixed, so we’re waiting...

The guesthouse is well located, and the service has been really good. The staff are quick to respond and very helpful. They also provide some breakfast items.
