Double-gate Farm

We arrived only a few hours after booking, and Debbie made our last minute trip easy. The room was spotless and spacious, the bed really comfortable, and there was tea, coffee, drinking chocolate and milk in the fridge. The bathroom was huge and had shampoo, conditioner, body lotion and hand soap, so we had what we needed even if we'd forgotten something. We also found the folder of local shops, hospitals, places to eat and sights very useful. From the patio we could see a stream, with a lovely field across from us. We often sat outside in the sun with a cup of tea. Breakfast ordering through the app was simple: choose your food and time, enter the table number, then head to the dining room, where coffee and juice were waiting. There was a big range, including cereal, fruit, omelettes, sandwiches, full English and vegetarian breakfasts. The food was excellent, clearly locally sourced and prepared with care. They also serve afternoon tea. We didn't try it, but it looked lovely and seemed busy most days. It was a relaxing stay, and the hosts were so welcoming. We'd happily come back. The tea shop's home baked cakes were lovely, and breakfast had plenty of choice, with local ingredients and very good cooking and presentation. Debbie and Steve were welcoming and helpful. The accommodation was spotless, comfortable and spacious, with everything we needed. It's a beautiful spot and well placed for trips to Glastonbury, Cheddar and elsewhere. We had a lovely stay and will return.

We brought 19 of us, adults and children, for the Easter Celebration Afternoon Tea, which we arranged as a surprise for my Mum's 90th birthday. Deb and the team were so friendly and helpful, and the food was fantastic, with a delicious range of savoury and sweet things. The riverside setting is beautiful too. We had a fabulous time, and I couldn't rate the experience more highly. Well worth a visit.

The quiet setting suited us perfectly, and the hosts were warm and friendly, with nothing too much trouble. We had a lovely, warm, spacious and spotless dog friendly room by the river. Breakfast was tasty and plentiful, delivered to our room, and the pups got treats too. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, thank you.
