The Princess Royal suite was stunning, with a view straight out to the ocean. We could hear the waves hitting the rocks all night, which was amazing. The staff were friendly and so helpful, and the price was right. Loved this place.

The staff were lovely, though they seemed inexperienced, and the Tree house itself could have been fabulous. But the plumbing didn’t all work, and the housekeeping wasn’t up to what I’d expect from a 'Luxury Estate'. The little pub on the estate was nice, though service there was slow and the food average. Breakfast service wasn’t any better. With the maintenance and service as they were, it didn’t meet the standard of a five star luxury estate. The location is beautiful.

The grounds and scenery are stunning, and the accommodation and venue make it feel like the whole package. Staying here gives you a taste of being a noble person from olden times. Smuggler's Inn is attached to the Tower, so be sure to stop in for dinner and a drink.

We booked dinner and breakfast with our room. Dinner was good, and the whole experience was fabulous, though the set menu is small. If you’re after lots of choices, you may want to eat somewhere else. The tower is lovely, with sitting rooms, a drawing room, and a game room.

We couldn’t get the water to heat up again after the reserve hot water ran out, even though there were instructions for switching it on. The bathroom itself was exquisite, with a round tub and double shower, and staying in the tree house was wonderful. Dinner was fantastic, too. If you’re staying on the property, make time to explore the tower, as it could take 30 minutes or more.
