We spent three nights here after Christmas and had an amazing stay. The pub and restaurant are beautiful, comfortable and relaxing, and the hosts are friendly. It’s easy when you have a dog: you can have a drink in the bar after a day out and eat in the part of the restaurant where dogs are allowed, so there’s no stress about what to do with them. A real gem at a reasonable price. We’ll be back soon.

The only small drawback was that there aren’t many pubs within walking distance, though that’s nothing the hotel can help. We had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend it. The food was amazing, easily 10/10, and it’s a great place for dogs. Staff were super helpful and polite, making us feel welcome throughout. Our room was clean, spacious and immaculately decorated.

I’ve been here for Sunday lunch three times and will keep coming back whenever I’m in the area. The roast beef and all the trimmings and vegetables are top notch, cooked to perfection. The food here is the best. Exceptional! *****

A great base for visiting the Western Lakes. We slept really well, with comfy beds and a very quiet room. The rooms are beautiful, the staff are friendly and the food is tasty. We had both breakfast and dinner here, and both meals were high quality. Would 100% recommend!

The room was warm, clean and comfortable, with a huge TV and a powerful shower that had endless hot water. There’s a little field behind where you can walk your dogs. Everyone was lovely and helpful, from the bar and restaurant staff to the housekeeper. The food was outstanding, delicious in every mouthful and cooked and presented to perfection.
