We held my mum’s wake here, and the staff were so kind and attentive throughout. They set up the tables beautifully and even made a memorial table with a lit candle for Mum’s photos and memories. The food was the best we’ve ever had, all homemade, with more than enough buffet food and endless tea and coffee. Everyone was incredibly helpful. I’d highly recommend holding a function here. Thank you so much x love Kathryn 🌹

The Sunday roast had a nice choice of vegetables and generous portions, and everything was fresh and delicious. We went for lunch at the newly refurbished wheyrigg restaurant and found the prices reasonable too. All the staff were lovely and happy to help. We’ll definitely be back.

We used the venue for a private event and couldn’t fault the service. The food was amazing and home cooked, and the staff made us feel welcome. The upgrades have really lifted the place, all the areas are looking wonderful. Looking forward to coming back soon. Thank you.

Mum and I dropped in for lunch without booking and were seated and served quickly. We both ordered more than we could finish, the Chicken Stack and Lasagna were gorgeous and the portions huge. There was work going on in the hotel, but it didn’t affect our meal. The staff and owners were very apologetic about any disruption, even though we weren’t bothered at all. Beautiful food and atmosphere. Now that the hours are ‘all day’, we’ll visit more often. Thank you so much 🤩

The meal and service were both fantastic. I haven’t stayed in the rooms, so can’t comment on those, but the hotel refurbishment is looking great. Well done to the new owners.
