The food was a hit all round, especially the homemade beef and vegetarian lasagne. There was a great selection, including the specials board, and it was reasonably priced and quick to arrive. The children had plenty to do too: toddler and over-5 play areas, goats to visit and a zip wire. Electric tractors run on a track for £1 a ride, though they weren’t open today. A great experience!

The location is handy, not far off the main cross-country route. It’s peaceful, though it can get fairly busy. Food, portions and service were really good, and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms are a bit dated, but clean and everything worked. WiFi in the rooms was hit and miss, and EE and O2 mobile signal wasn’t great there either. I mention that because I was travelling for business and needed internet.

There’s a lot on offer for the price, and it’s clear they’re working hard to keep improving the place. The setting is convenient for local spots and just two minutes off the main road, yet it feels quiet. There’s loads of outdoor space, a lovely play area for children and table service outside through the app. Rooms are a decent size, well equipped and spotlessly clean. The pub food is good quality and reasonably priced, and the full buffet breakfast was very well done. Staff were friendly and approachable, and the other customers all seemed to be enjoying themselves. This place is a real find and deserves to do well!

We stopped for lunch today and sat outside. The Chicken Tower was superb, and I had a nice cider too. It wasn’t too busy. Highly recommended.

There were 19 of us for a family get-together, and they were so patient and friendly while serving us hot, delicious food. Thanks for the hospitality. We can’t wait to come back and try the Sunday Roast.
