Bonny Brae Guest House

The quick, clear messages before we arrived made everything easy and avoided any confusion. We accidentally left a charger behind, and the kind team posted it back without charging us. Thanks, Brittany, that was a lovely gesture. We had a wonderful time at Bonny Brae House in Windermere. The rooms were cozy, and being centrally located meant lots of places to eat were nearby, with the train station only a short walk away. I'd definitely recommend staying here if you're visiting Windermere. 😊

Theresa was warm and helpful throughout our two-night stay, sharing tips on places to visit and eat nearby. The full English breakfast was delicious, and we both slept really well. A friend and I stayed Friday and Saturday in October. On arrival Theresa welcomed us, quickly sorted a parking permit and showed my friend Peter where to park his van. The rooms were very clean, well presented and decorated to a high standard, with comfortable beds. It's a great base for exploring the area. We had a lovely weekend away.

The breakfast at Bonny brae guest house was amazing, with the full English a good choice if you're hungry. There's a smaller breakfast too, and plenty of options if you don't want cooked food. Teresa welcomed us warmly. The place was immaculate, and she was friendly and helpful, using her local knowledge to help us plan our stay and trips. We'd happily stay again on a future visit. Everything was spotless and presentable, the rooms were thoughtfully furnished, the service was impeccable and breakfast was excellent. It's very central for Windermere and the Lake District. You can walk to most places, catch a nearby bus, or drive a short distance if walking isn't your thing.
