We’ll definitely come back. The hosts were so welcoming, knew the area well, and were always glad to suggest places to go. I asked for an iron and they went further, ironing my shirt for me. Such a lovely gesture, thank you! Our room was huge for the area and had all the toiletries and other things we needed. You could pay four or five times as much for a “compact cozy double” at that posh place on the hill we won’t name. We also liked the no-shoes rule at the door. It keeps the high pile carpets fresh and gives the place a homely feel. Breakfast is cooked to order each morning. I’d absolutely go for the full English. My better half had scrambled eggs, and they looked great too.

The rooms were spotless, even underneath the bed, and everything was dust free. It’s only a short walk into town. Deborah and Allan, the owners, gave us such a warm welcome. They were friendly and made us feel right at home. Breakfast is freshly cooked, and they do their best to accommodate dietary requirements.

We came back after six years away and had just as good a stay as the first time. Deborah and Alan are lovely hosts who make you feel welcome and keep the house warm and cozy. The bedrooms were spotless, the beds comfortable, and breakfast had everything we could wish for. Their advice to take the pass route was fantastic. Thanks so much for a great visit. We’ll be back, hopefully sooner than six years from now!

We’ll stay here again next time we visit the lake's. Claremont b&b is clean, really friendly and lovely, and Ian and Deborah were fantastic hosts. Breakfast was amazing too. Parking is on street, with limited spaces, but there’s somewhere to park just up the road.

We had the downstairs apartment in February. It was a great space and the hosts were fabulous, ready to do anything they could for us. We’d hoped to come back several times this year, but the current situation got in the way. We’d definitely return. The prices are very reasonable too.
