The room was quite comfortable, though the bathroom was tiny. Street parking is free overnight. Breakfast was a delicious, filling full English, a great way to start the day.

Jo, who ran the place, was very friendly, and her cooked breakfasts were really nice. The room was a good size for the money, with a very comfortable bed. It was easy to walk into Windermere or a little farther to Bowness-on-Windermere. My only disappointment was the small shower room, which had space for just a tiny sink. I’d personally prefer a slightly smaller bedroom in exchange for more bathroom space. Still, I had an enjoyable holiday and a good overall experience.

Jo made our stay one of the most wonderful experiences we’ve had. We’ve stayed in 40 hotels this year alone, and this was one of the cosiest B&Bs we’ve ever visited. If I’m in the Lake District, I know I’ll come back. Thanks again.

Jo, the owner, went out of her way to make the stay as comfortable as possible. This traditional bed and breakfast has plenty of character and is ideally located for visiting the lakes. The rooms are cosy but more than adequate, with en-suite facilities. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order with plenty of choice. I’ll definitely be back.
