Windermere Boutique Hotel

Booking Penny Irvine for a massage was the highlight of our trip. She came right to our room, was so friendly and took time to explain what to expect. My wife and I both thought it was the best massage we’ve ever had. Highly recommended. We also had a lovely stay from beginning to end. The room was wonderful and breakfast was fantastic.

We’ll definitely be back, and wouldn’t choose anywhere else when visiting windermere. The sauna in our room got plenty of use, and the massage was one of the best we’ve ever had. The restaurant food was outstanding, especially the fillet steak, cooked just right. Breakfast was tasty and filling too. We came as a couple for an early January treat. The room blew us away, and the staff and owners were really helpful. Absolutely perfect.

Lauren made our stay feel easy from the first enquiry through to arrival, when she welcomed us with a drink. She kept the tea and coffee topped up in the room and suggested places to eat nearby. Nothing was too much trouble, and she’s a real asset to the hotel. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Our suite, 'Windermere Love', had a steam room and cinema room, with little thoughtful touches throughout. It was luxurious, with stylish decor, comfortable beds, excellent water pressure and Moulton Brown toiletries. The hot tub was spotless, and we were told it’s cleaned between every stay. It was a real treat after a brisk winter walk around Windermere. Breakfast was superb, with quality local ingredients and attentive service. The only downside of this incredible hotel is that it’s made other hotels hard to enjoy. It was perfect.

The location is fantastic and scenic, about a 10-minute walk from Windermere and Bowness, right between them. I stayed last week with my partner and would absolutely recommend it. The staff were lovely, our room was cosy and worth the money, and the food was fresh and beautiful. All the meat was good quality and cooked perfectly.
