The location is great and breakfast was super yummy. Our room had everything we needed, with one of the comfiest beds we’ve ever slept in and great water pressure in the shower. The lounge has board games, refreshments and a lovely comfy settee. The staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. My boyfriend had forgotten his phone charger and borrowed one from reception. My only critique is that I’d like more beans at breakfast. Would recommend, and I’d definitely return.

We chose the small room, which was cosy and clean, and worked perfectly as a base for our busy trip. Breakfast was really tasty and set us up well for the day, and the service was warm and friendly. Fantastic value, I can’t fault the hotel. Highly recommend it!

We spent a night at The Westbourne and would definitely stay again. The room was very clean and the bed comfortable, in a great location. The host was great, and the guest lounge had games and comfy seating. There was an honesty bar too. Breakfast was hot and fresh.

We stayed in the annex, room 9, which felt like an apartment, with an entrance hall for hanging coats and racks for boots. It was spotless and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was nice, the hosts were welcoming, and the location is great, with parking and easy access to the centre of Bowness. We couldn’t fault this stay and will definitely be back. We’d stayed before and rated it four stars, but standards have improved since the change of ownership, and this visit was five star. The new owners seem to be upgrading the beautiful building, and changes so far have had a positive impact. The downstairs lounge could use a welcoming fire and a little modernising to fit the property, but I’m sure the place will keep getting better.

The owners are so friendly, and everything about the hotel is lovely. The rooms are excellent, and breakfast is cooked to order and really good. It’s well placed for walking into Bowness. I’ll definitely return.
