We stayed in the superior double, room 7, and everything was just right. Monties exceeded what we expected, with beautiful rooms, friendly and hospitable staff, and a wonderful breakfast. We’ll be back. The accommodation and staff have done you proud.

The staff made us feel so welcome and were really helpful, and the rooms were clean in a perfect location. The scones at breakfast made us girls very happy! We had a lovely stay at Monties guest house and will return. Five stars, thank you.

The staff did everything they could for Sue and me, and breakfast was excellent. We had a lovely stay in a lovely room, in a great location. We’ll definitely come again.

The breakfast is a real highlight, especially the cappuccinos, which were huge and beautifully made. Just keep in mind the café opens to the public at 9am, so heading down early helps avoid a queue. The staff were lovely and welcoming, and the rooms were clean, tidy, and modern without feeling sterile. Monties Guest House manages to be central and surprisingly quiet, so we slept well despite being right among everything. The location is hard to beat. A delightful little getaway, and I’d definitely stay again, 10/10.

The staff were so kind and accommodating. When train strikes left us stuck in Windermere, Monties helped arrange an extra night and found us a place to take work calls on our last day. The location is right in town, yet our room was quiet and we slept really well. It was clean, breakfast had plenty to choose from, and the whole stay was fantastic. Highly recommend ❤️
