We stayed at Broadoaks over the May spring bank holiday weekend in 2026 for our wedding, and the weekend ran so smoothly. Mikey helped make it relaxing and enjoyable, and all the staff went out of their way for us. Our guests loved their individual rooms, and when an issue came up, it was dealt with within half an hour. Everyone commented on the beautiful venue, gardens and views. We stayed in the retreat, where everything seemed to have been thought of for getting ready on the wedding morning. The toiletries, tea, coffee and biscuits were a lovely touch. The food was fantastic all weekend, and guests with special dietary needs were well catered for. The only slight downside was that planning could have gone more smoothly, as some email replies took longer than I'd have liked. I understand it's a popular wedding venue, and everything came together perfectly in the end. We plan to return for our anniversary.

The setting and venue are beautiful for a wedding, but I wasn't impressed with our lodge. It smelled very musty and felt damp, and the bedding smelled and felt damp too. It was meant to sleep 4, and I'm glad there were only 3 of us. With one double bed and a sofa bed, there wasn't much room. The other guests' hotel rooms we saw were nice, so I'd avoid the cabins. Service was slow at the bar, during the wedding meal and at breakfast the next morning. Most of the staff seemed new to their roles, and honestly, more staff were needed.

Broadoaks made our wedding day so perfect. The venue is stunning, with gorgeous rooms and picturesque grounds, and the staff were helpful, knowledgeable and happy to do anything we asked. Sian, our day-of coordinator, was amazing. She took care of everything behind the scenes so we could enjoy the day without stress. Our wedding was just a few days ago, and I can't praise the team enough.

We just got back from an overnight anniversary stay, and it was fantastic. Will greeted us straight away. He'd recently moved there from Wigan and was on hand throughout the day to help with anything we needed. He was fab. We ate in the restaurant that evening, and the food was second to none. The room was spotless and beautifully decorated. Everyone was very friendly, especially Will. Breakfast was lovely too, and we were served straight away with no issues.

The food and service were amazing, and I had a great time, but the rodent problem kept me awake all night. It kept coming back into our garden view room. When I told the worker at the front desk, she laughed it off and offered no compensation. A lovely stay apart from the rodent problem.
