Rum Doodle B&B

The walk into town is a bit long and might not work for everyone, though it was fine for us. What stood out was the excellent breakfast and how friendly and welcoming the staff were. Our room at Rum Doodle was clean, tidy, and modern, and we felt comfortable there throughout. We had a lovely stay, absolutely loved it, and would come back! :)

I felt safe and welcome as a solo female traveller. The manager was lovely and arranged a generous packed breakfast for my early departure on the last morning, and free on-site parking was a nice extra. I spent three nights over Easter in the top-floor room with a roll-top bath. It was bright, spotless, and comfortable, with two large Velux windows, blackout blinds, and the treat of bathing in the room while looking up at the sky. The toilet and sink were separate in the en suite. The price was visibly higher than on other weekends, though I suppose Easter brings that everywhere. Thank you.

After a long day out exploring, this place felt like a peaceful retreat. The amenities were very clean and breakfast was delicious. The staff are what make a stay feel special, with a warmth and hospitality that shows great customer service is still around. Thanks, Rum Doodle, for such a lovely visit for two Aussie travellers.

Room 6 (Shute) was a good size, clean and tidy, and had a lovely bathroom with really warm water. We were lucky to have breakfast brought to the room, and it was delicious, with plenty of choices and care for dietary requirements. Check-in was easy and flexible, and the staff were friendly and attentive. There are DVDs for a quiet evening, and the TV supports Netflix and other services. The location is great, about a 15-minute walk to town, and there’s parking at Rum Doodle too. This was the perfect weekend away, largely thanks to Rum Doodle. It’s the best BnB we’ve stayed at, and we’d definitely return to Windermere. Thank you for a lovely time.
