A bottle of Prosecco was waiting to welcome us, and the bed was the comfiest I’ve ever slept in. It’s a beautiful, cosy cottage, handy for everything, with the shops just a short walk down the alleyway. It had everything we needed. I’ll definitely stay again and recommend it to everyone. Thanks for having us.

We’ve just spent a week here, and the cottage looks nothing like the pictures labelled Rustic cottage. Please use photos of the actual cottage so people can see what they’re booking.

The shower pressure was weaker than I’m used to, though I realise there may not be much you can do about that. The little cottage was quaint and cosy, right in the heart of Bowness, and its secure rear garden meant we could let our dog out without worrying. Full 5 stars 👍

Parking was virtually impossible, even with a permit, so as a blue badge holder I wouldn’t choose to return. The cottage was warm and okay, though perhaps too dark for some. It was well equipped, but the fire starter pack wasn’t there, and the back garden needs some attention.

The internet kept cutting in and out, which was annoying, and a few other details let the place down. We found used tissues and someone’s old hairbrush under the bed, loose wall sockets in the kitchen, a broken oven timer knob, and no chopping boards. It’s a nice cottage in a central spot in Bowness.
