Southview Guest House

There was so much to enjoy inside Southview Spa that our big group of friends hardly went out. The pool, hot tub, and sauna were relaxing, and we had great movie nights in the cinema room. Every bedroom and bathroom was immaculate and comfortable, and the heating kept the whole house cosy. We all loved the stay and hope to come back. Thank you for making it so comfortable and relaxing.

It was easy to settle in and relax in this lovely, spacious house. The layout and facilities felt well thought out, and the cinema room, pool, sauna, and jacuzzi made it feel special without going over the top. The house was very well organised for a group stay, and our host was responsive and helpful whenever we had questions, so everything went smoothly. We had a really great experience.

We spent three nights here with 16 family and friends, celebrating my dad’s 70th, and would love to return someday. The property is stunning, spotless, beautifully presented, and full of things to discover. It’s right where you want to be, literally a two-minute walk into Windermere. There was plenty of room, so we weren’t under each other’s feet. People kept disappearing to the cinema room, pool, or sauna, and we had to send search parties to find them. The dining room was perfect for our final-night meal with a private chef from the cook in the north. He was fantastic, with no fuss and exceptional food. You can see why it’s rated 4.9 on air b&b, though I’m surprised it isn’t a full 5. A real credit to the hosts.

The house worked perfectly for our group of ten, with comfortable bedrooms, well designed bathrooms, and modern, stylish interiors finished to a high standard. It was exceptionally well equipped, and there was plenty to keep everyone busy: we used and loved the pool, hot tub, sauna, games room, and cinema room. The kitchen and dining area suited shared meals and socialising. The location is excellent, just a short walk to Windermere’s shops and train station, making it easy to get around. I’d highly recommend it to anyone considering a large group stay. Great facilities, a convenient location, and excellent value for money.
