The location was good, but the rest of our birthday stay was a real disappointment. We chose this B&B from all the options on booking.com and felt the room definitely wasn't worth what we paid. There were cobwebs, the bathroom floor wasn't very clean, the mattress was very hard, and road noise made it difficult to sleep. The woman who greeted us was friendly and gave us lots of information, but we didn't see her again until we left two days later. Breakfast was only okay and didn't feel worth the price either. The poached eggs tasted of vinegar. An off-site health spa was advertised, but nobody told us about it or offered it to us. When we wanted to use it, there was no one around to ask where it was, just a number at reception for emergencies.

Beverly and Neil were friendly and professional, and gave us useful information both before and during our stay. We stayed in a room in the Annex and would like to try the other rooms next time. Breakfast was delicious, with the best mushrooms I've had, and there were vegan and vegetarian options. I liked that we chose our meals the night before and they were made fresh in the morning. Hopefully, that also helps cut down on food waste. Now that we've found them, I'd book direct next time instead of through Booking.com :)

We got back from two lovely nights at this beautiful guest house. Everything was spotlessly clean and breakfast was delicious, made fresh to order. Beverly was so friendly and welcoming, with loads of local knowledge and information. I'd definitely stay again if I'm down that way. Thank you, Beverly.

We arrived to a warm welcome from Beverly, who was enthusiastic and explained everything we needed to know. She even gave us useful maps and directions for sightseeing in Windermere. The rooms were very clean and had everything you'd need, and for the price it feels like a steal. Breakfast was one of the best I've had at a hotel, with plenty on offer and great quality and presentation. The Coppice is well placed for Windermere town, with Bowness a short walk away and buses available too. You can tell it's a labour of love for the owners, and that care comes through in the service. We'd book at the Coppice again if we return.
