The breakfast was one of the best B&B breakfasts we’ve ever had, freshly cooked, excellent quality and a lovely start to the day. The Haven also has a perfect spot, within easy walking distance of Windermere’s shops, restaurants and attractions, while still feeling peaceful. Catherine was welcoming from the moment we arrived. She’s friendly, attentive and happy to offer local recommendations, and nothing seemed too much trouble. The guest house is beautiful, full of character and immaculately maintained. Our room was spotless, comfortable and thoughtfully presented, and the whole property was exceptionally clean. Catherine clearly takes pride in looking after guests. It feels professionally run while still having the comfort of a home away from home. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return.

Catherine was very kind and hospitable, a gracious host. The place was spotless, cosy and comfortable, and we felt welcome. The room decor was tasteful, elegant and lovely. Breakfast each morning was freshly prepared, plentiful and scrumptious. We couldn’t find a single fault. One of the best B&Bs in Windermere, Lake District. It exceeded our expectations, so it gets a 12 out of 10 from us. Highly recommended.

The location is central and makes it really convenient to get around. Catherine was an excellent host, and the rooms were immaculate with great housekeeping. We enjoyed breakfast each day. Highly recommend Haven Guesthouse.

It worked really well for us. The host was lovely and accommodating, and our room was spacious and well maintained. We also had parking, which seemed unusual for this location. Breakfast was great, with enough choices. Most of our excursions were 30-45 minutes away, and I’d highly recommend it for a city stay in Windermere.
