Russ was an excellent host, attentive and very welcoming, and Julie made a tasty breakfast each morning with good quality ingredients. It kept us going until mid afternoon. This was our second visit, and we’re looking forward to coming back soon with friends and family. We spent 2 nights in a lovely double room on the first floor at the front of the property. It was newly decorated, with nice bedding, a TV, tea and coffee, and a small but well-maintained ensuite. The bed, furniture and furnishings were good quality. The location was quiet, with adequate street parking in front and extra private parking further down the street. It’s a 15-minute walk to Windermere and just a minute from the path past shops and restaurants leading to Bowness. A wonderful break and exceptional value for money.

The room was really comfortable, and there was plenty of tea and coffee. They also moved us to a room with just one flight of stairs instead of two to suit my disability needs. We got a very friendly welcome.

Breakfast was delicious, with locally sourced food, and the extra charge felt well worth it. There was plenty to eat. The owners were welcoming, parking in the allocated bays was straightforward, and the guest house looked bright and immaculate on arrival. It was an easy walk into town, and we had allocated parking just down the road. Richard was a great host and happy to help with anything. The guest house was lovely, with clean, nicely sized rooms and a good breakfast selection. Highly recommended.

Julie and Russ were so accommodating, and we loved every minute of our stay. The beds were comfy, the breakfast was really tasty, and the rooms were absolutely immaculate. Easily the best guest house I’ve stayed in in Windermere. We can’t wait to come back soon x
