Middlerigg is a clean, comfortable and well-equipped little bolt hole near Windermere. You can head out on lots of footpaths, or go further afield using the excellent bus service, which is easy to access if you want to leave the car behind. We had a delightful stay, even though the weather wasn’t always ideal, and we’ve already booked for next year.

A lovely, relaxing break in the Lakes, in a great location. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

It’s a very peaceful place, close to the lakes, with self-catering accommodation and activities nearby. We visited in October 2022.
