Bowness Guest House

Michelle was lovely and checked in with us to make sure everything was okay. We stayed in Room 1, which was spacious, comfortable and very clean. Restaurants, cafes and bars are only a few minutes away on foot, and the lake is close too. I’d definitely recommend it.

The location is excellent, on a quiet road but very close to the bustle of Bowness. Parking nearby made it easy to find a space. The rooms are beautifully decorated and very clean, with a really comfortable bed. The owners were so friendly and did their best to make us comfortable. During the heatwave, they brought us fresh cold water and a fan when we arrived, then gave us more cold water the next day. They also shared plenty of useful tips for places around the lakes and for food and drinks. An amazing stay, and I can’t wait to come back.

The hosts were happy to help us pull off a birthday surprise for my partner. Other people in our group had told them about it, and they were really pleasant and accommodating. They also recommended local places to eat and visit. We enjoyed our weekend at Bowness Guest House. The accommodation was spotless, and the hosts were friendly and welcoming. The location is convenient, about a 5-10 minute walk to the centre. Thanks to you both, we had a lovely stay!

It’s only a short 5-10 minute walk to the restaurants, pubs, shops and lake, so the location is excellent. We’d definitely stay again if we’re in the area. Highly recommended.
