We've been returning to the Beechwood for 15 years and always leave very happy. Catherine and Rita take such good care of us, and we really appreciate their attention. Breakfast is lovely, with a menu that can be adjusted to your taste. The rooms are elegant and spotlessly clean, and we enjoy unwinding in the gorgeous lounge. Beechwood is a special place, and I highly recommend it. We'll keep coming back.

The breakfasts were delicious, plentiful and came with nice coffee. Our room was spacious, clean and stocked with tea and coffee, and changing the towels when we needed it was no trouble. Katherine was a fantastic, friendly and helpful host who couldn't do enough for us. My husband and I spent four nights at Beechwood Hotel, with lovely weather as well, and had a fantastic time. Can't wait to return.

The room was spotless and really spacious, and the tea and coffee facilities were great. The lovely woman who runs the hotel served an excellent breakfast both mornings and was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble. I really enjoyed my two-night stay and will definitely go back.

We enjoyed relaxing in the lounge, and the room was clean, comfortable and lovely. Catherine was friendly and helpful, and served a delicious breakfast during our three-night stay. Beechwood is a pleasant stroll from bowness or windermere. I'll definitely return.

We tried a different local restaurant each night and honestly enjoyed every one, with locally sourced meat and vegetables on offer. The location is perfect, too. At Beechwood, we were welcomed warmly on arrival, and our room was immaculate, comfortable and had a beautiful view. Breakfast was amazing, and Catherine was a wonderful host who made everything easy. We stayed for a week and will certainly return. Only one day of rain while we were in the Lake District was a bonus.
