Jo was friendly and helpful. My single room had a double bed and was an adequate size for my four-night stay, though the bathroom was tiny. My main criticism is that there wasn’t a full-length mirror. A smaller annoyance was the awkward placement of the plug sockets behind the bed and drawers.

The full English breakfast was delicious and filling, a great way to start the day. Street parking is free overnight. The room was quite comfortable, though the bathroom was tiny.

Jo, who ran the place, was very friendly, and I really enjoyed her cooked breakfasts. My room was a good size for the price, and the bed was very comfortable. It was easy to walk to Windermere or go a bit farther to Bowness-on-Windermere. I was a little disappointed by the shower room, which only had space for a very tiny sink. I’d have preferred a slightly smaller bedroom and more bathroom space. Still, it didn’t spoil the stay, which was good and made for an enjoyable holiday.

Jo made the whole visit feel special, and we’d happily return whenever we’re in the Lake District. We’ve stayed in 40 hotels this year alone, and this was one of the coziest B&Bs we’ve ever found. Thanks again!
