Lynn and Mike keep Wheatlands Lodge in top shape and had plenty of useful suggestions for exploring nearby. After a good night’s sleep in a comfortable, well-equipped room, breakfast was a treat, with lots of tasty choices in an elegant dining room. The location is handy for the bus, train, and city center, but the street itself is quiet. We’d gladly return.

The hosts were warm and helpful, with plenty of local information, and getting around from this quiet area was easy. We especially liked the pancakes at breakfast, which was good overall. Our room and the breakfast room both looked lovely. We had a great stay at Wheatland Lodge in Windermere and would happily recommend it.

The freshly cooked breakfast was amazing, and Lynn and Mike were wonderful hosts. We only booked Wheatlands Lodge at the last minute, but it turned out to be a great find. Our clean, beautiful room had thoughtful touches, including tea, coffee, fresh bottled water, a dressing table with a mirror, and a spa bath. Loved every minute.

Mike and Lynn were lovely hosts and put extra care into the beautiful breakfasts. We also had the most comfortable bed of our whole trip, in a lovely room. With parking on site, we could leave the car and walk to plenty of excellent places to eat. It’s a great base for seeing the Windermere area.

We had a really enjoyable stay. The rooms were lovely, breakfast was great, and the host was wonderful. The location was great too. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.
