Such a cute little pub, with really nice rooms and a very friendly owner. I stayed here with my dad and had the best pub curry of my life. If I return to England, I’d 100% come back.

4/10
The curry tasted good, though being served on a school cafeteria tray was odd. The atmosphere at dinner was very strange and didn’t feel like a local pub. I wouldn’t recommend it.

2/10
The waiter got our order wrong, then pointed at us and blamed us for it. The service was terrible, and the food only mediocre. The curry was surprisingly average, while the starter portion felt stingy: just a quarter of a Camembert, with some green stuff stuck to it.

A clean, tidy classic pub, with parking available if you book a room. A pint costs £6. What more could you ask for?

I stopped here overnight during a long work trip, and it was a lovely place with lovely staff. The food was excellent, the room was even better, and I slept perfectly and felt well rested for the next day. 5****
