Cherry Tree Pub

After the long trip to Suffolk, The Cherry Tree was just what we needed. We were even invited to join the pub quiz on a Thursday, which was great fun. I think it runs weekly. The food was generous and excellent, and the bar staff were lovely. Ryan, I think that was his name, was especially patient with his beer suggestions and clearly cared about making customers happy. The traditional interior and friendly, warm atmosphere made it an easy place to settle into. We left refreshed and well fed, and I'd happily recommend a visit.

The log fire made the pub feel cosy and warm, and we were lucky to get a table near it. It was decorated nicely for Christmas, and the other diners helped create a welcoming feel. My husband, two friends and I came for a late lunch two days after Christmas. It was my first visit, at my friends' suggestion, and though service was a little slow in the busy pub, the staff remained helpful and polite and handled the crowd well.

I've been back a few times and the service has always been great. There's a decent range of beers, plus a good choice of pub food at fair prices, and it comes out promptly. A nice spot in Woodbridge for lunch or dinner.

We stayed two nights and had a great time. The room was lovely and the staff very pleasant. The food was fabulous, especially the Sunday roast, and the beer was fabulous too. 🍺 😀
