Maddie and Steve were lovely hosts, and we had a wonderful two-night stay at The Hemmel. The B&B and rooms were spotless, with really nice furnishings. They'd included lots of little extras we hadn't expected, like dressing gowns, Netflix, fresh milk, a cafetière and refreshments in the room. Wooler is a lovely little village, with a good choice of shops, cafes and pubs, and a great base for exploring the north east. The location suited us well. Breakfast has a good selection of cooked and continental options. The full English was 10/10, especially the sausages, and we both enjoyed having the option of black pudding. We'd definitely stay again and 100% recommend it.

The decor was quirky and unique, with a clean, modern look blended with traditional touches. The rooms and breakfast were excellent, and good value too. The owners were so friendly and willing to help wherever possible, making their home feel relaxed and well presented. This gorgeous B&B is perfectly placed for exploring the Northumberland coast. Couldn't recommend it enough.

The photos on the website don't do this place justice. I stayed in the deluxe room, with a really lovely en-suite, and enjoyed the peaceful location and stunning scenery. The cooked breakfast was great, and the accommodation was spotless. A very warm welcome from an excellent host. I'll definitely return!

The Himmel is only about a 5-10 minute walk into Wooler, and it's a great base for the Northumberland coast, the Scottish Borders, and even Hexham. There are lots of castles around, so plenty to see and do. Maddy and Steve are fantastic hosts and couldn't have done any more for us. The place was tastefully decorated throughout, spotlessly clean, and the breakfast was top class. Top marks, and we'll definitely be back.

We spent four lovely, peaceful nights at The Hemmel. The place was beautifully clean, and we loved the decor. Nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was great, especially the sausages from the local butcher.
