Yearle House

It was lovely to be welcomed so warmly by Mylo & Poppy, and the service throughout was impeccable. The well-appointed rooms have ensuite bathrooms, including the room that used to be my bedroom. I lived in Yearle house in the early 80s, and coming back to visit family was quite a trip down my terrible memory lane. The house is utterly stunning, a vast improvement on what I remember from over 40 years ago. Mylo & Poppy have transformed it into how it should’ve been. Thanks again for an amazing stay.

We first came here on our wedding night, and now we come back for our anniversary. This place means a lot to me, and I’ll return whenever I can. Mylo and poppy are lovely hosts, with superb cooking and baking. Mylo always makes you feel welcome when you arrive, and they go the extra mile to make it feel like a home from home. The hosts were wonderful, so attentive, and lovely to chat with. They know the area well and couldn’t do enough for us. Our huge room had all the amenities we needed, plus a separate bathroom with a freestanding bath overlooking the landscape. Breakfast was delicious, with a choice of cooked food, cereals and fresh fruit. There was tea and coffee available all day in the pantry, and the tin of homemade flapjack was a lovely extra. Wooler is a quaint village with fantastic scenery all around, rolling hills dotted with cattle, rabbits and birds. A little piece of heaven. A visit really is a must.

For four nights, my wife and I stayed in a room in this wonderful country house. The house has four rooms, a shared lounge with plenty of books and magazines, and lovely views all around. The pantry has tea and coffee making facilities and delicious homemade cakes. There’s also an honesty bar. Our hosts were excellent, with a great choice of cooked breakfasts and a genuine desire to look after us and meet our needs. Highly recommended.
