We’d passed this pub many times on the way to Worcester hospital and finally chose it for date night. The 30-minute drive from home was worth it. The menu and portion sizes were good, and my chef’s special chicken and chorizo stew was spot on. My husband’s steak was perfect too. The staff were busy but alert and smiling, and the atmosphere was good. We’ll definitely be back.

The mixed grill was fantastic, and I felt the expensive price was fair for what I got. The one small letdown was the tomato, which seemed to get only a couple of seconds of cooking before landing on the plate. Either cook it properly or leave it alone. That minor gripe was the opposite of everything else, which was great. We haven’t been in for a while, but we’ll definitely drop in again. Lovely food, highly recommended.

We tried the Steak Monday deal, two steaks and a bottle of wine for a fair price. The food was delicious, and the staff were very friendly.

We found the rooms comfortable and well appointed, and the atmosphere relaxed and welcoming. The food is worth a detour and won’t break the bank. Tyler looked after us at the front of house: friendly without being overfamiliar, attentive without hovering, and exemplary at his job. To be fair, all the staff were excellent. The service was just as good as the food.
