My brother said the treacle sponge was the best he’d ever had. We had a family meal out the other weekend, and every meal was fantastic, from the mixed grill to the chicken burger. It was a busy Saturday night, but the service was still good. One guy was handling most of the tables himself and seemed to have a good handle on them all. The only small downside was that the desserts were a bit pricey.

We had a lovely time at Sunday lunch with family. Everyone picked something different from the extensive menu, and the food was extremely good. The team were friendly and knowledgeable, and service was very quick.

We went for dinner tonight. It was busy, but we were served quickly. We both ordered the homemade steak and kidney pie, and I'm afraid it was a real disappointment. It was basically steak and kidney in a bowl with a puff pastry lid, and definitely overpriced. For £18.95, it came with just a handful of chips and peas. We definitely won't be back.

The beer garden really impressed me, with lovely outdoor space and a friendly feel. I had the mixed grill for dinner and enjoyed it, and my lady friend had a pie that was very nice too. Good food, and I’ll definitely go back. Maybe I’ll try one of the homemade pies next time. 👌🏼

Food at The Angel is always fresh, and there’s never a long wait. The staff are welcoming and friendly too. I always enjoy coming here and look forward to my next visit!
