A nice, old-fashioned pub near the train station, with lovely walks along the Tyne nearby. I'll be back soon.

The place had a cosy, friendly feel, and the pool table was lovely and smooth. The corner where we first sat was a little dingy, but nothing too bad. I enjoyed the visit.

I've always been fond of this place, especially those winter evenings spent by the open fire with excellent ale. A photo I took last week captures it perfectly.

There are loads of proper beers on tap, and they change regularly, so each visit feels different. It's a great pub for good beer. The food was good for warming up before or after a lovely walk along the river. I'd absolutely recommend it.

This is one of my local pubs, and I've always loved it. The staff and locals are great, and it's a nice traditional pub with a seriously good beer selection at very reasonable prices. I wouldn't necessarily choose it for a meal, though they do basic pub grub. Top marks from me.
