We went in with no expectations and ended up changing our plans so we could stay a second night. Lady Mary showed us around, and after seeing the place we really didn't want to leave. The grounds are beautiful and full of history, with a lovely blend of medieval farmhouse and 17th-century manor. It felt magical, was the best place I've stumbled upon, and cost so little. Don't hesitate to book.

Such a peaceful, charming place, with the personal feel of an Airbnb and the convenience of a hotel. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with lovely views, and the setting is beautiful. The staff were lovely too. Tea and coffee are available in the kitchen all day, and there's free cake at reception. It can feel a bit draughty, though that's part of staying in an old building. Really good value. Thank you!

We had a great stay at the Fat Pidgeon. The staff were really pleasant and eager to help, and dinner was hearty, tasty, and reasonably priced. Our room had everything we needed and was just right, especially for the price. Highly recommend it.

My room was spotless and freshly decorated, and the shower had plenty of hot water. Breakfast was delicious with a good range to choose from. The host made us feel welcome, and the setting is stunning. I'd definitely recommend staying here.

Breakfast was fabulous, and the room was lovely. We were right beside a lake with countryside views all around, and the service was among the best I've had at a rural B&B in a long time. It was a wonderful break, and we'd most definitely return. Thanks!
