We’ll be back. The breakfast was just how I like it, especially the two poached eggs, and Michael was a real credit to the hotelier system. Our room had enough space for two, and the bed was comfortable, so I slept well. It’s about a 10 minute walk to the Shambles and Minster, with free parking too. We liked it enough to recommend it to our daughter and her family for her birthday next month. I’d recommend staying here when visiting York.

Michel was especially friendly and accommodating. The room was quirky and fun, and much more memorable than a corporate hotel. I liked being away from the city centre bustle while still being only a 10 minute walk from it. York itself is incredible, with so much to see and food to try. I’d recommend this place to friends and stay again if I’m back in York.

The warm, helpful hosts and staff made the stay feel personal and relaxed, and breakfast was a highlight: freshly made, excellent quality and with plenty of choice. Burton Stone Inn is in a quiet area, but still a pleasant 10-15 minute walk from the city centre and York Minster. The rooms are clean, comfortable and tastefully decorated, with very comfortable beds and modern bathrooms. On-site parking is a big plus in York. It’s great value, and I’d happily stay again and recommend it.

Free parking is a rare bonus in York, and it’s an easy 10 minute walk to the city walls. Turn the other way and there’s a bingo hall and a small village about 5 minutes from the building. The rooms are quiet, cosy and spacious, with comfy beds and amazing pillows. Everything was tidy and homely, the decor is spot on, and the bathrooms and showers are pristine. The owner is considerate and really helpful with your needs. Breakfast has lots of good quality choices and is beautiful. Highly recommended, and I’ve already told friends and family.

For my birthday we stayed at the Burton Stone Inn, and it’s a quick walk into the centre, which was perfect for exploring York. The hosts were lovely and accommodating. Our room was warm and comfortable, with maybe the nicest bedsheets ever. Breakfast was amazing, with lots of choice and clearly made with care. We’d definitely stay again if we return.
