Nikki was such a caring, funny host and went out of her way to make sure we had an amazing stay. The breakfast was the best ever. I've stayed in five-star hotels around the world, and this place was better than some of them. Thank you xxx

Bentham Lodge is about a 30-minute walk from the city centre. It's a friendly, welcoming B&B, kept clean and nicely presented, with well-appointed rooms. Nicky, the landlady, knows the area well and gave us plenty of advice about places to see and restaurants to try. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice. We'll definitely return on our next trip to York.

The host was lovely, really informative and happy to help with anything. Breakfast was a fabulous deal, with full English, toast or cereal to choose from. Great place to stay 😉

A lovely place, and Nikki, the owner, couldn't have done more to help us.
