Room 1 had loads of space, including the en suite, and the Scandinavian decor gave the hotel a distinctive feel. It’s on a peaceful street outside the city centre, opposite St Mary's Priory and near the river. The staff were friendly and helpful, and reception is covered around the clock. I’d happily consider Yorvik House next time I’m in York.

We chose the Junior Bay Suite for a one-night birthday break and were really impressed. It felt luxurious, was spotless and nicely presented, and had everything we needed. The minibar prices were reasonable, and having breakfast brought to the room the next morning was a lovely touch. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We had a great stay, would recommend it, and will be back. The location was great too.

We’ll definitely stay again. The staff were lovely and went out of their way to help, and the room was clean, spacious, and in a great location. They even upgraded us when we arrived for my partner’s birthday.

Room 17, a Luxury Double on the top floor, was spacious, clean, and nicely decorated, with a comfortable bed and everything we needed. It’s a lovely place in an excellent location. We’ll stay again next time we’re in York.

There’s no breakfast dining room, so breakfast is room service only, which was a downside for me. Even so, the hotel is good value for money. I spent two nights in a double room on my own. It was spacious and beautifully decorated, with a view of St Olave's Church and direct access to York Museum Gardens. The location is ideal for visiting the tourist attractions, and I appreciated having reception open 24/7, which is getting rare.
