In-Town Guest Accommodation

York's sights are right nearby, with plenty of pubs and places to eat just a short distance away. The rooms are brilliant for the price. There weren't enough sockets, though, and the power adaptor was behind the bed. I really recommend this guest house and will definitely book again.

I had a really disappointing experience with customer service. I was unlucky enough to have booked a non-refundable two-night stay. At the time we were meant to leave for York, I was very poor, and York had been flooded, so all the events we planned to attend were cancelled. We tried to cancel the accommodation and asked for a discount or at least a chance to change dates. With the flooding, people were desperate for decent rooms in areas that weren't affected, so I think the accommodation could have been resold immediately. A helpful approach could have worked for both sides. Instead, there was no discussion and no willingness to help. I've never experienced such a horrible response. I personally wouldn't recommend the company, because if you run into a problem, don't expect any help.

The courtyard room was lovely, with a nice bathroom and outdoor seating area. Staff were friendly when we arrived, and the location was great. I'd highly recommend it, couldn't ask for better, and would definitely stay again.

The place was clean, tidy and comfortable, with all the facilities I needed while staying in York, especially since I was out exploring most of the time. Everything is close by. No complaints.
