Minster Hub Guest Accommodation

I was a bit nervous after booking and then reading the reviews, but the room turned out lovely and had more character than I expected, including a nice fireplace feature. It had everything we needed, with two fans that we were very grateful for, a good makeup mirror, and clean towels and sheets. The bathroom was basic but clean. It's right in the centre, with parking around the corner and everything close by. The price feels about right. I only wish Sunday checkout had been a little later, even 10:30 would have helped.

The location couldn't be much better, just a minute from the Minster and three minutes from the Shambles. My basic room was clean and comfortable, though the shower was very cramped and would be difficult for someone tall or large. It was fine on cooler days, but during the few very hot days I was there, the rooftop room got really warm. The little window barely let any air in, and a fan would've helped a lot.

The location and room were good, but the service was poor, if there was any. We had no towels in the room, and the owners didn't respond until late at night. The towels arrived the following day, too late for us. We also found a bottle cap and a set of keys for another room under the nightstand.

The staff were friendly, and our room was large. The heater stayed on the whole time, though, so we had to open the bathroom window for some fresh air. There's no parking at the property, but North Terrace car park is only about a block and a half away and it was easy to find a space. The location itself is great, just a two minute walk to the Minster.
