The staff were lovely, and breakfast had a lively feel. The pub and accommodation were cosy and fantastic, and the city centre is only a few minutes away on foot. We stayed two nights for my birthday and will definitely be back next year.

The breakfast was lovely, though the coffee was cold and not very nice. The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and the hotel's location makes it easy to get to the centre. I'd definitely come back.

We had a great time chatting with the bar staff about alternative music and all sorts of things, and made some friends in the garden too. I loved this pub. The interior is really cool, and it was dressed up for Halloween. We ended up having several beers because we enjoyed it so much. Really great vibes!

We were there from Friday to Sunday, and had such a good time. The place is amazing and quirky, the staff were polite and great, and it was really clean. Breakfast was tasty with a varied menu. It's an easy walk to everything we wanted to see in York city centre. I'd recommend it and would stay again. Top place, thank you Dx 😊

The staff are really welcoming, and the pub is mega clean. It's only a few minutes' walk from the city walls. Definitely the best pub in York, without a shadow of a doubt.
