Sean, the owner, was a really nice bloke, and our room was neat and spacious. The heating was a little noisy, though that's to be expected in an old house. Breakfast was nice. Another guest mentioned that one kettle wasn't working, so perhaps a hot water urn or two would save people waiting for it to boil. All in all, my boyfriend and I had a wonderful stay.

Everything's an easy walk from this quiet, clean place near central York. The room was comfortable, and breakfast was more than enough. There's off-street parking, and the owners are very friendly.

Clean, nice place and good value compared with some of York's other hotels. It does get a bit noisy at night, as it's right next to a busy road and a pub.

The room was clean and spacious, with a living room and kitchen area. It's about a ten minute walk to the city centre. There was no soap in the shower, and breakfast was limited to toast and one kind of cereal.

We stayed here three years ago and had a very good experience. The hotel was great, the rooms were very clean, breakfast was really good, and the owner was so friendly. Five stars!
