Mandela Court Grenada

The location is especially good if you have your own rental vehicle, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was excellent each morning, delivered right to my door. The apartment rooms were clean and tidy, with the housekeeper usually coming every two days. I enjoyed my stay and would 100% stay again. I’m giving it 4 stars because 5 would mean perfect, with no room for improvement.

Mandela Court is in the southwest part of the island, near St. George University, nice resorts, and expensive homes. It’s close to some of the best beaches, including one I walked to often, and at least six restaurants, most of them on the beach. I felt comfortable walking around at night. The building and apartments are beautiful, and the landscaping is lush. A friendly, helpful group of employees are there during the day to make things easier. From the photos I expected a balcony, but learned that one-bedroom apartments may not have one. I enjoyed my stay and would recommend Mandela Court, and stay there again without hesitation.

We stayed 11 nights at Mandela Court during Spice Mas, and the service from Jarryd and Nadine was top notch from booking through departure. Jarryd was easy to reach on Whatsapp and helped with restaurant suggestions, taxis, directions, and more. After Jouvert, Nadine set up a guest clean up station with towels and soap. The location was quiet and serene, away from the busy parts of St George and Grand Anse. LAE beach was just a few minutes on foot, along with the Grind coffee shop, several restaurants, and a convenience store open late. Our included breakfast was delivered by the chef, with yummy Grenadian and American options. We also liked having breakfast at the Brewery down the street, open daily through Spice Mas and serving breakfast until 3 pm. Our best dinners were at Sails and Flying Fish, and we had a few at the Sand Bar too. We didn’t make it to Dexter's this time because we ran out of time, but I highly recommend it. We had water pressure issues for a few nights; the plumber was called right away and fixed the problems. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back.

The location was good and the staff were really nice. My main issue was that the air conditioning wasn’t working very well. When we reported it, I think we should have been offered another room. We managed by going somewhere else during the day to stay cool, but that meant we didn’t get to enjoy the property. The pool also needed cleaning earlier each morning. Leaves were left in it, and it didn’t feel comfortable to swim, so we went to another hotel’s pool instead.
