The beaches were stunning, with clear water, soft sand, and beautiful views. Our Diamond club one bedroom ocean front room was spotless, spacious, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed. It felt luxurious throughout. The staff were friendly, attentive, and clearly cared about guests. Food was good, with plenty of choice each day. It wasn’t the best resort food I’ve had, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as some reviews suggest. The buffet was really good, and the Italian was the best full service restaurant. We had an unforgettable stay and are already looking forward to going back.

The security team were kind and courteous throughout our stay. The room, though, is showing some wear and could use updates. At check-in, our Platinum Bonvoy status wasn’t recognized. I asked for an upgrade because it’s a Platinum benefit, but was told the hotel was sold out. That surprised me, since the resort seemed almost empty during our stay from 02/27 to 0301. My room number was 11201 building 11. At the Martini Bar, we asked for an espresso martini, but the staff member on the phone said they don’t make them. That was disappointing. I hope this feedback helps improve the experience for loyal Bonvoy members.

The beaches were great, and we could usually find a chair, though some parts of the day there wasn’t much shade. I enjoyed the water aerobics every day, but yoga was too early for a vacation. Service was slow. One day, after talking to staff and calling, we waited hours for toilet paper. Our travel partner had trouble getting reservations each of the three times we went to the a la carte. I also asked for birthday decorations in the room, but they never arrived. I only found out the next day.

The room had a nice ocean view, the staff were friendly, and the airport is just 5 minutes away. But there aren’t enough restaurants for a resort, the Royalton app is horrible for reservations, and there are only 2 beach foot-rinse spots. Housekeeping was poor at best, and some days you might be missed entirely. Don’t waste money on Diamond Club. Nightly music in the small, enclosed lobby area was way too loud. WestJet left us stranded on the tarmac for 4-1/2 hours on the plane without meal or drink compensation, then our departure flight was delayed by an hour. For dinner, the highlights were off-resort at the Aquarium down the beach and Dexters Restaurant. The island is nice, but other resorts may offer better options. Royaltons are usually great value, but this one wasn’t.

The garden and landscaping team deserve credit for keeping the grounds clean and well maintained. We felt safe thanks to the strong security presence, and the view from our room was one of the highlights. We stayed at the Royalton Grenada from 5.12 to 12.12.2025 in room 14-308. The setting is beautiful, and we enjoyed the beach and water, but plastic often littered the beach despite it being promoted as a turtle hatching ground. Lifeguards weren’t always present. Service was weak across the resort. Many staff seemed disengaged and were often on their phones. Reception wasn’t welcoming and gave very little information at check-in. We only learned near the end that excellent yoga classes were offered, as no one had explained or promoted them. Management was rarely visible. I’d rather see managers in restaurants talking directly with guests than just calling rooms. The food was uneven. The omelette station at breakfast was a highlight, and the lunch buffet, especially the pasta station, was a nice surprise. But the meat was dry, cheese was dry, bacon ran out, allergy labels were missing, and syrup service was impractical for a resort at this level. The Taj Indian restaurant lacked authenticity. Our room had a great view but showed wear. The blackout curtains didn’t close properly, the bathroom trash was never emptied, and the do not disturb sign was ignored. Foot-washing stations by the beach would help keep sand out of rooms. Electric service carts went around day and night with loud reversing beeps, hurting the atmosphere. Checkout was badly handled. The bell boy never came for our luggage, so we carried five bags ourselves after being told checkout was strictly at 13:00. We filled out a feedback card, but nobody acknowledged it. The resort credit felt misleading and had little real value in an all-inclusive setting. We had to ask for it at reception. The resort has potential and a beautiful setting, but it needs better cleanliness, communication, staff engagement, and management. We’ll share this feedback directly with Marriott.
