We spent a week in Georgia and had two nights in Batumi. This was the worst hotel of the places we stayed. Calling it a hotel feels questionable, since there's no room service at all. The breakfast was a joke: the menu offered an omelette, oatmeal, and a salad made up of large chunks of tomato, lettuce, and cucumber. The buffet had only cold milk, jam, and cereal, with no bread, toaster, or coffee machine. It was one of the most disappointing breakfasts I've had anywhere. Getting around was another problem. The hotel sits at the edge of the city, far from the main city centers and shops. The room view was okay, though it wasn't the proper sea view we'd expected, and that was something we could manage. The basics in the room weren't in good shape. The hair dryer barely worked, and water pressure from the shower and tap kept switching between strong and weak. At night the geyser made a strange whistling sound every couple of minutes. The doors were poor quality and dirty. The receptionist wasn't helpful and came across as a bit rude.

We booked an apartment through Agoda after seeing photos of rooms with sea views, but were given a different room on arrival. It seems they don't actually have proper sea-view rooms. Only after asking repeatedly did we get one with a very faint, poor view. The location is at the far end of the main area, which we didn't find convenient. I'd suggest looking in Orbi City or nearby instead, since those areas are more central. The receptionist put on a helpful front, but came across as arrogant and seemed to toy with us rather than fix the problem. Trusting the high ratings and reviews without question was a big mistake for me.

The rooms are run down and falling apart. My sister's shower mirror enclosure in the bathroom suddenly shattered into countless pieces, and she got a sharp cut. Do not stay here. At this price, there are better places, this feels like a rip off. The hotel's website lists a gym and restaurant, but neither is available there. When we asked, they blamed the old management for setting up the website. It's still online, though, which made it seem deliberately misleading.

A safe, clean place with a nice pool. The sea view is lovely, and it's well located, not too far from either the city or the airport.

From the balcony you can look straight out at the Black Sea, which was a wonderful experience. It's quiet and clean, and very close to the airport, though well away from downtown. I'd rate it as a solid three-star hotel.
