The colorful rooms feel lively and surprising at first, then you get used to the style and it cheers you up. It’s an authentic little boutique hotel, with excellent, tasty breakfasts and a very sweet, kind staff. When I sprained my ankle, I hesitated to ask for help, but they were very helpful once I did. Most of the family speaks English, so it’s easy to get along. Still, even your friend wouldn’t go looking for a pharmacy for you at 2 am. Thanks for the hospitality and kindness.

The breakfast was good, a warm meal with salad, marmalade and coffee or tea, though ask for Turkish coffee or you’ll get instant. It’s served in a small room across the street. The family business has plenty to improve: the rooms are small, and the furniture looks kitschy and low quality. The bathroom had lots of leaks and superficial installations. Be careful about which room you book and insist on getting it. I had to discuss it with the owner because they offered me a poorer quality room. The old staff speak only Georgian and Russian. They waited for me at the airport, but I paid more than 1000 lari (310 GBP), and the service wasn’t available to take me back to the airport. The owner accepts cash only, no credit cards. Make sure you ask for a receipt!

I stayed here three years ago, and I still can’t forget it. Very nice place, very friendly owner.

The guesthouse has lovely decor and a great selection of art on display. Our room was small but clean and comfortable, with lots of TV programs to choose from. The owners drove us to and from the railway station for just Lari10, much cheaper than any taxi. We had a nice stay at Dzveli and got good value for money.
