Hotel Ere's Palace

I was the only guest during the off-season, but the owners still took great care of me. They heated the rooms, made a big and varied breakfast just for me, with pancakes, toast, slices, scrambled eggs, and more, and checked that I was comfortable. The hotel is up on a mountain, with an insanely beautiful view of Tbilisi, and it’s only a 10-minute cab ride from the city center. The rooms are comfortable, clean, new, and have balconies. I’ll definitely come back!

The rooms have good balcony views, and the host is friendly. The hotel is in a quiet spot on the mountain, though the walk up can be tough. Housekeeping was completely missing. We stayed five days, and the room was never cleaned, even with a sign on the door asking for it. There were only enough toiletries for one or two uses, and getting more meant asking around the hotel or buying them. Same with toilet paper. The shower leaks, which seems like an easy fix if they’re willing to do it. The mirror over the sink has a wide rusty rim and could easily be replaced too. Breakfast was very meager, much less than we expected from the reviews. The lobby and restaurant were cold, the radiators were cold, and they skimped on heating.

It was a really lovely stay. This is a new, cozy hotel with very clean, brand-new rooms and a nice price that came as a pleasant surprise. The staff were excellent, and the receptionists speak Russian, English, and Georgian. Breakfast was very good, and the chef will also make lunch or dinner if you ask. Everything is cooked fresh in front of you. The city views are beautiful, and if you prefer fresh air and a quieter setting away from city noise, you’ll like it here.
