First Line Rock Hotel

The woman who showed me to my room handled things badly. She wanted to leave before I arrived at 10:30 pm, even though her reception shift was supposed to run from 9 am to 11 pm. She also never told me where the reception desk was, on the ninth floor. The Wi-Fi password in Airbnb was wrong, though she gave me the correct one later. Her manner was below average compared with other Airbnb rentals I’ve experienced.

The rooms are spacious, and the location is very good, facing the sea and close to lots of attractions in Batumi. But the hygiene was awful: the sheets and covers were dirty, the AC and TV didn’t work, and the toilet smelled all day. Service was terrible too, nobody answered when I called. Don’t bother with the breakfast, it isn’t worth it. The hotel is on the ninth floor of a residential building.

It’s an easy walk to attractions, and the room was clean. There was a double bed, two sleeper couches and a balcony, plus a TV, aircon and good Wi-Fi. The mini fridge and kettle were useful, though only tea was supplied. The bed was hard and the pillows could’ve been better.

The neighbourhood is nice, the view is good, and the residence feels fancy. But the AC remote didn’t work, the heater wasn’t warm enough, and although we booked for three, there weren’t enough towels for even two people.
