I was taken in by the positive reviews, but my vacation ended up ruined. Money was stolen from my room. I noticed on the third day, and after thinking through what happened, I could only place it right after check-in, when I left my things in the room and went out with friends. On the other days I carried my backpack with me. Luckily, I had my wallet with me. The backpack left in the room only had a small wallet containing Armenian drams. All the notes, 32,000 AMD, about $82, were gone, while the coins were left. The hotel itself is very basic. The sink has only cold water, and the shower heater has low pressure. It’s noisy at night because the windows face the road, where trucks travel to Turkey 24/7. I also couldn’t turn on the air conditioner at night because I needed an extension cord.

The hosts were so welcoming and helpful with any questions. Soso met us at the airport, and when we arrived we had dinner and homemade wine. Maya even baked her signature khachapuri for us, and they arranged a trip to a waterfall and a botanical garden. Thanks for such a warm, homely atmosphere. Maya also showed us how to take the bus to Turkey. The ride was 15 minutes, with 30 minutes at customs. The bus to Batumi takes 30 minutes and costs 4 Tetri. The house is on the first line, just a 2-minute walk to the beach. Our room was clean and bright, with excellent furniture and new plumbing, and everything worked. There’s parking and a veranda for relaxing and barbecue. It’s 2-3 minutes to the sea. Moscow region.

The rooms are modern and clean, with reliable Wi-Fi and air conditioning in each one. The hostess is friendly and helpful, and the sea is only two minutes away. There’s a bus stop nearby, about 30 minutes to Batumi and 5 minutes to the Turkish border. We even walked there a couple of times. Cafes and shops are close, and a little farther out from the village you’ll find picturesque cliffs. The only drawback is being close to the highway, so heavy trucks can sometimes be heard.

The rooms are excellent, and the kitchen is well equipped. Wi-Fi is excellent too. It’s close to the sea and public transport, with attentive hosts who are quick to respond.

Maya, the hostess, is friendly. The hotel is clean and cozy, a great choice for a quiet getaway.
