The owner would come into rooms without permission and throw away guests’ food. She was always watching us and got upset when we used gas, water, or electricity. She even told us not to cook and to eat at restaurants instead. There’s just one small fridge for six first-floor rooms, and the Wi-Fi barely works, even on the second floor where the router is. The rooms and kitchen had ants, and there were so many mosquitoes with no protection from them. The owner refuses to install any, so don’t expect miracles. The rest was a mess too. I don’t recommend this place.

Greed.

The room was a disaster: mold and damp made the smell unbearable by evening, and there was no air conditioning, towels, or even toilet paper. The washing machine only worked at 30 degrees Celsius; using a higher temperature cost extra. Then the power went out at 1 a.m., so even the fan and charger stopped working. The room became so stuffy and damp that sleeping was impossible. We’d booked two nights through Booking.com. When we met the hostess, she asked us to cancel because of high taxes. She seemed nice, introduced herself as a teacher, and we agreed out of sympathy. That turned out to be a big mistake. The next day we checked out and asked for half our money back for the unused night. The owner said she’d already lost money by letting us stay and refused, even though the guesthouse was completely empty. We later heard another family had paid for four nights in advance and was also deceived. I used to trust reviews, but now I’m more careful. Be cautious, or your vacation could be ruined. I highly recommend this “guesthouse.”

We saw police come three times during our one month there, and there were frequent arguments with guests. The owner cheats with payments, turns off the water and gas to save money, and after the beach you’re left washing in ice-cold water. She also uses a second key to enter your room while you’re out, makes a mess, and throws away your food from the refrigerator, the only one for the whole hostel. It’s as old as the place itself. The hostel owner is breaking the law. A disgusting choice for a vacation.
