Royal Hotel

It’s a very cheap option with clean, spacious rooms, good services, and an interesting view through a very large window. The receptionist tried to help whenever I had an issue, and I was generally satisfied. Breakfast was decent, though sometimes the bathroom and toilet smelled of cigarettes. The hotel is quite far from the city, and getting around was a problem for us. The staff didn’t really speak English, so we had to work through language issues with apps like Google Translate. I’d recommend it as a cheap, good stay, except for the distance from the city center.

More than 3,000 trucks go past this hotel every day, so it’s a very noisy location. There’s no heating in the rooms, just air conditioning, and it barely warms them in winter. When my guest from Iran, a young woman, told reception her room was very cold, they advised her to drink vodka to warm up. Terrible place and hotel. I don’t recommend it to anyone.

We arrived to find that someone else was staying in the rooms we’d booked because our flight was delayed. Then we had to wait several hours for someone to leave. The receptionist seemed unaware of everything, and the service was the worst I’ve seen. Breakfast starts at 9, which is too late if you want to head out sightseeing early. Starting at 7 would make more sense. It’s sad to see such poor service in such a beautiful country.

The rooms and hotel weren’t clean, and most of the staff weren’t friendly. There was no room service, so we had to call every day for toiletries. Breakfast was pretty bare, with not even coffee unless we asked. It felt like a two-star hostel.
