The food was terrific and fairly priced, and the place felt cozy. Most of the service was great, though one server seemed to be having a bad day every day.

This is a family-run place, and the prices aren’t aimed at tourists. Locals eat here, along with the lucky visitors who find it. The older woman in the kitchen cooks as if you were her own grandkids, and the owner, an old man, has wine for you. The delicious food is made with local products, not frozen chicken or preserved tomatoes. Be patient and open to trying new recipes. They don’t follow the usual tourist crowd and don’t care about it.

I loved how quiet and peaceful it was, a lovely spot if you want to relax. There’s no kitchen in the Cortege, so you have to eat at the restaurant beside it, which was very slow and not great, or go find somewhere else to eat. The food there wasn’t very good, but the calm setting made me love the place anyway.
