The location is nice, but the stay was otherwise very disappointing. None of the cabins had the terrace shown in the photos. The front door won’t lock, and the door to the supposed terrace opens onto a drop of about 3 meters downhill, which is life-threatening. The shower is a disaster: water runs into the living room and onto the bed. The landlord wants us to remove our negative reviews and give a 10-star rating.

The setting and mountain views are stunning from both sides, and the sky at night was the clearest and closest I’ve ever seen. Our cabin was warm and comfortable over the New Year holidays, even though the heater was off when we arrived. It also had air conditioning, and there was hot water in the shower, so don’t worry about that. The host was warm, polite, very considerate, and kept asking what else he could do for us. He even showed us that we could cook in the neighboring cabin, where there’s a cafe and everything we needed. Our own cabin had a mini kitchen but no stove. The grounds have a barbecue, grill, and skewers, and the cabins have what you need. The owner even provides disposable toothbrushes and toothpaste. I always bring my own shampoo and conditioner because I’m picky about those. I’d read the earlier reviews, but the floor issue didn’t bother me. They’re more like leaks than cracks, and you have to remember you’re staying in a mountain chalet. We wanted to extend our stay, but our child got sick, so we had to leave even though we didn’t want to. With two children, we found it really warm. There’s so much to see, so I’d book at least three nights. We stayed two and it wasn’t enough. We’ll definitely be back!

It’s a beautiful spot for enjoying Khulo’s spectacular scenery. Getting there without a car is very difficult. During my stay, the shower drain didn’t work properly, so after showering I had to sweep the water off the floor.

The view is gorgeous, and it’s a unique place with a fantastic idea behind it. The big cabin’s bedroom has a beautiful view, and otherwise it has everything you need. For two people, a stay might be great. With a group, though, expect some surprises: there’s no soundproofing, everything feels flimsy, and gaps in the floor let you see underneath. The veranda was quite shaky and incredibly flimsy, though it held up with four of us. If someone uses the bathroom in the middle of the night, you’ll hear everything, including the toilet flushing. We can’t understand how such a good idea ended up so poorly executed.
